Matt Damon: Politics Is A Rigged Game

Maybe there is hope for America.

Actor/director Matt Damon is disillusioned with politics saying “The game is rigged”.

I highly doubt he had a libertarian epiphany, and is probably just bitter that Democrats haven’t implement all their socialist goals yet, but this is still pretty big coming from someone who supported the fascist Obama in both elections and who had difficulty debating a junior Reason TV reporter without attacking the cameraman.

Damon’s “Promised Land” film about natural gas “fracking” is in limited release today. I’m sure he’s opposed to fracking on “environmental” grounds, but if he is serious about politics, he will turn away from trying to use the violence of the political system and instead use non-coercive means, such as film, to persuade others about his viewpoint.

I wonder if this will lead to a rift between Damon and long-time buddy Ben Affleck. Affleck appears to have some big political ambitions of his own.

When I heard this, my first thought was, “finally, an intelligent political comment by a celebrity!”
